The Congregation's social events will vary from month to month. Times and places for each event are noted below. All members of the Congrgation are welcome to come to any event, though space may be limited in some venues. Please let the event host know that you plan to come. The host can also provide directions. If you want to host n event, please notify your kindly webistress or just announce it at a service

UU Book Club
The Book Group met on Saturday, May 22, at Robyn Kelly's home. It seems that everyone wants to take a summer vacation this year, so there will be no formal meetings until later this Fall. In the meantime, here are some suggestions for reading material over the Summer. If you would like to get together to discuss any of these books, see Robyn in church.
- "One Second After" by William R. Fortschen. Science fiction that is too real and too scary ti ignore in this day and age.
- "The Elegance of the Hedgehog" by Muriel Barbery,, A novel f the life and philosophy centering on a Pariosian concierge.
- "Misquoting Jesus" by Bart Ehrman. An historical look at the Bible.
- "Jesus, Interrupted" by Bart Ehrman. An historical look at Jesus.
- "Sawdust Confessions" by William Sievert. A Lake County resident takes an hilarious look at murder in a south Florida gay RV Park.
- "ANTHEM" by Ayn Rand. A novel taking a look at the possible future of mankind, and the one word that makes a difference.
- "Common Sense" by Glenn Beck. A simple, well-reasoned look at the first year of the Obama administration.
- "Common Sense" by Thomas Paine. The pamphlet that hekped convince the colonists to found our nation.
- "The Help" by Kathryn Stockert. Stories by/of the Negro maids who served the White families of Jackson, MS, in the 1960's.
UU Lunch Bunch
A diverse group of Congregation members meets after the meeting on Sunday at a local bistro for lunch, socializing and further discussion. Everyone is always welcome. Sign-up sheet will be provided so we can tell the restaurant how many will be coming. The venue for each week's outing will be announced at the end of the meeting or noted on the sign-up sheet. The Lunch Bunch does not meet when the Congregation is having a pot-luck.
UU Movie Club
The Movie Club will meet at 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Robyn Kelly's house. We will be watching the film, "Billy Elliot" - the story of a young boy who follows his dream despite great odds. Munchies will be served.
